I am a super busy person and always feel like I am constantly on the go. In my house I wear many hats. I am a MOM of two energetic boys, a small business owner (Dynamite Treasures), a Coach/Manager, a Wife, and the list goes on and on.
Since the pandemic I have been in a slump. At first I had no idea this was happening but as the lockdown kept getting extended I grew sadder inside. Sure I put a smile on my face to show I was okay but truly I was not. I finally said, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH” when I realized what was going on. I wanted to be ME again, Happy, Energetic, Sunshine and Rainbows Me. So instead of worrying about the many HATS I wear I focused on ME. For the first time in my Life I put ME FIRST, and it feels great.
I take an hour out of my busy hectic schedule to focus on Me. Most of the time I workout for 30min and take the other 30min to enjoy breakfast in silence with no distractions. By doing this I have found it helps me get ready for the day.
Sure I still have those days where all I want to do is lie in bed and do nothing, we all do. But that one hour I take for myself gets me ready to wear my many hats. Don’t think of it as “me first” think of it as “me too” it means you can’t help others if you don’t help yourself first.
